LAS VEGAS – April 16, 2025 – In response to the rising homelessness crisis, the Las Vegas Rescue Mission is reigniting its $85 million capital campaign with the support of Strategic3C, a leading capital campaign firm known for its community driven initiatives. This renewed effort aims to expand Rescue Mission’s services.
The Las Vegas Rescue Mission, which has been a Southern Nevada pillar of support for more than 50 years, provides much more than shelter. It offers structured, extended-stay housing services, employment readiness programs, addiction recovery support, medical aid, and legal help to help individuals rebuild their lives. It also offers an ‘intact families program’ to keep unhoused families together, no matter how they identify as families. However, as demand for these services continues to rise, the Rescue Mission’s current capacity is being pushed to its limits.
“For the first time in our 50-year history, we are turning to the State for partnership and assistance,” said Heather Engle, CEO of the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. “The demand for our services has never been higher, and without immediate expansion, more individuals and families will be left without shelter, meals, and recovery programs. This campaign is about building a future where homelessness in Las Vegas is tackled head on with more services and shelter available to those in crisis.”
Strategic3C brings a history of success in building movements and mobilizing donors, ensuring that local families, corporate partners, and philanthropists have meaningful opportunities to contribute. From small monthly donations to major corporate sponsorships, every dollar raised will go directly toward programs that help people rebuild their lives.
“This isn’t just about raising money—it’s about restoring hope,” said Donn Jersey, Principal of Strategic3C. “We are in the midst of the worst homelessness crisis in the history of our state and our country. And at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, we’re doing far more than providing meals and beds. We offer free on demand inpatient substance abuse treatment, medical care, housing assistance, job search support and life skills training. We are not just an evening community meal or a temporary shelter—we are a place where lives are rebuilt. This campaign is about dignity, second chances, and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, supported, and given the opportunity to heal. With the heart of this community behind us, we won’t just raise funds—we’ll create lasting, transformational change.”

About Las Vegas Rescue Mission:
The Las Vegas Rescue Mission has been assisting homeless men, women, and children in the community for 50 years. Since our beginning in 1970, the Rescue Mission has been providing meals, emergency shelter, recovery programs with addiction counseling and encouragement to help the low-income and homeless in our community. The nonprofit started with a small storefront building that included the chapel, kitchen and shelter which was able to house a few men. Today, the Mission campus which is located in Downtown Las Vegas, is helping hundreds of men, women, and children daily, while providing approximately 30,000 meals each month. We are nonprofit Christian organization and provide services to all people without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, age, gender, religion, or disability.
