Sierra Nevada REALTORS® and CCIM of Northern Nevada are excited to present their Mid-Year Economic Update Breakfast on August 15 at the Atlantis Casino Resort with doors opening at 7:30 a.m. This event is open to the Northern Nevada Business Community and the general public. Cost of the event is $50 for CCIM and Sierra Nevada REALTORS® members and $65 for all others.
With the U.S. economy experiencing a whirlwind of events, including significant Federal Reserve meetings, bank challenges, inflation concerns, and construction disruptions, many individuals and businesses worry about the implications for commercial real estate (CRE) and the economy as a whole. To address these pressing questions and provide valuable insights into the current economic landscape, Chief Economist for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), Dr. Lawrence Yun will deliver an impactful update and forecast about the local, state, and national economic landscape.
“The commercial real estate market faces tremendous difficulties with high interest rates and refinancing challenges,” said Yun. “Despite these issues, the market is poised for revitalization. With mortgage rates expected to average between 6.3% and 6.5% in 2024, housing affordability will improve, enticing more buyers back into the market.”
“We are honored to host Dr. Yun, a renowned expert in the field of economics and real estate,” said Cindy Santilena, President of CCIM of Northern Nevada.” This event will be a golden opportunity for attendees to gain valuable knowledge and make informed decisions in light of recent economic developments,” said Robert Bartshe, 2024 President of Sierra Nevada REALTORS®.
The event will also feature several distinguished speakers:
