JFSA Las Vegas will host an intimate concert featuring Violins of Hope at The Industrial, 2330 South Industrial Road, in Las Vegas, on September 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event benefit JFSA’s programs and services, which support some of Southern Nevada’s most vulnerable populations. Tickets are now on sale.
The Violins of Hope project is a private collection of violins, many of which belonged to Jews before and during World War II.
The role of the violins during the war was to touch hearts and kindle hope for better times. There will be a cocktail hour followed by a concert featuring a string quartet by the Las Vegas Sinfonietta playing some of the violins.
The musicians will be led by Ukrainian-born Maestro and UNLV Director of Orchestras, Taras Krysa.
