Las Vegas HEALS is organizing a Recovery-Friendly Career Fair on Wednesday, September 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the College of Southern Nevada’s Student Union Ballroom, located at 6375 W. Charleston Blvd. in Las Vegas.
The event will connect employers who value and support recovery with job seekers who are in recovery or have a history of justice involvement. Community organizations will also be present to offer additional support and employment-related resources.
According to Adriana Romero, Vice President of Member Relations for Las Vegas HEALS, the goal is to empower second chances and build stronger futures for individuals overcoming substance use or other life challenges.
“This is the first recovery fair we have done,” said Diego Trujillo, CEO of Las Vegas HEALS. “Our vision is to do this on a recurring basis so that there is a talent pipeline of people who are looking to become the best version of themselves.”
Trujillo added, “Too often, people in recovery are written off. The reality is that many of them are incredibly resilient and highly motivated. When we provide the right tools, resources, and support, they are capable of remarkable success. This event is about creating real opportunity and building a foundation for long-term impact.”
