Las Vegas, NV — Shenker Academy , one of Las Vegas’ premier private early childhood and elementary schools, proudly announces the appointment of Ginger Liess as its new Head of School, bringing over 20 years of experience in early childhood and K–8 education leadership to the institution.
Liess has a proven track record of driving enrollment growth, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering inclusive, collaborative learning environments. Her expertise spans curriculum development, instructional leadership, and strategic organizational planning. Most recently, she served as School Director at Orange County Head Start, where she successfully reduced teacher absenteeism by more than 60%, elevated classroom quality through data-driven coaching, and championed diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Before that, Liess held leadership roles at Marco Polo Children’s School and Ziggurat Child Development Center, where she launched new programs, secured licensing compliance, and achieved significant enrollment increases. Her career also includes over a decade at Fairmont Private School, where she served as Preschool Director and Jr. High History Teacher, leading the school to NAEYC accreditation and implementing innovative instructional practices.
Liess holds a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from National University and a Bachelor of Science in Child & Adolescent Development from California State University, Fullerton. She is a CLASS Certified Observer & Coach and holds a Program Director-level Child Development Permit.
