aha! is waiving baggage fees for skis, snowboards and boot bags all month long and has partnered with Palisades Tahoe to give aha! passengers 50% off single-day lift tickets
RENO, Nev. – As if affordable non-stop flights from ten destinations wasn’t enough, aha! is making it even easier for travelers to take a quick ski trip to Reno-Tahoe by waiving baggage fees for skis, snowboards and boot bags all month long and securing 50% off lift tickets at Palisades Tahoe.
“We’re all hoping the snow will be flying again soon,” said Tim Sieber, head of ExpressJet’s aha! business unit. “In the meantime, we can at least fly your skis and snowboards out for free.”
aha! will accept snow ski or snowboard equipment as free checked bags starting Feb. 1 through Feb 28, 2022. All equipment must be securely encased in suitable containers and can include up to two snowboards in one bag and one snow boot bag or up to two pairs of snow skis and associated equipment in one bag and one ski boot bag. Ski and boot bags weighing more than 50 pounds (23 kilograms) or that contain other items in addition to appropriate ski equipment will be subject to the applicable service charge for overweight checked bags
Despite little precipitation in January, the record snow in December means snowpack around the lake is healthy. Palisades Tahoe, for example, has a base of more than eight feet.
aha! air passengers have access to 50% off lift tickets at Palisades. Passengers must present their aha! boarding pass to the ticket window, either in The Village at Palisades or Alpine Meadows base area. Boarding pass must have an arrival date and time within the last 24 hours to claim the 50% discount on single-day lift tickets. Discount is only available at the ticket window, not online.
