LAS VEGAS – The Small Business Administration Nevada District office named Nevada State Bank the top statewide lender by number of loans for SBA 7(a) and 504 lending.
At the 2018 SBA Small Business Awards, Nevada State Bank will receive the 1st place award for statewide lending. The award is in recognition of the 52 SBA 7(a) and 504 loans it guaranteed businesses, exceeding more than $17.2 million in fiscal year 2017.
SBA loans are government-backed loans that help small businesses get started, maintain operations or expand. Nevada State Bank provides SBA loans to assist a wide range of small business needs. The 7(a) loan program is the most frequently used financing program for start-up and existing small businesses. The SBA’s 504 loan program provides businesses with long-term, fixed-rate financing to acquire major fixed assets such as equipment or real estate.
“We’re proud to receive this important award,” said Megan Comfort, senior vice president and small business manager for Nevada State Bank. “This is a testament to our longstanding and growing commitment to helping small businesses in our state get what they need to succeed.”
Currently, Nevada State Bank is ranked first by number of loans in SBA 7(a) lending and second by dollar volume in SBA 504 lending for fiscal year 2018.
The annual SBA Small Business Awards, hosted by Vegas PBS, will be held on Thursday, May 3, at the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
