Special Olympics Nevada is proud to announce the addition of Liz Volpe as Development Director, bringing more than a decade of experience in nonprofit fundraising, community partnerships and event-based philanthropy.
In her new role, Volpe will oversee Southern Nevada fundraising initiatives, guide donor and corporate engagement strategies while supporting signature events that drive mission-critical revenue for Special Olympics Nevada.
Volpe joins the organization with 11 years of industry experience across nationally recognized nonprofits. Most recently, she served as Associate Director of Development for the American Cancer Society, where she played a key strategic role in supporting a development team to strengthen corporate and community partnerships and execute high-profile fundraising events including Fork Cancer, Construction vs. Cancer, Coaches vs. Cancer Las Vegas Golf Classic and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. In this role, Volpe focused on building event strategy, removing roadblocks, cultivating relationships and driving collaboration – ensuring her team had the resources and support needed to lead each initiative to success. Prior to that, Volpe served as Director of Development for the Centre County Youth Service Bureau, where she drove fundraising strategy and stewarded high-value donor relationships.
