RENO, Nev. – The Reno Rodeo Foundation (RRF) will launch its newest signature fundraiser, the Biggest Little Shootout, on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Nevada Firearms Academy. The family-friendly marksmanship competition welcomes participants of all experience levels to compete in a 3-gun tournament (rifle, shotgun, and pistol) and .22LR side shoot, with proceeds benefiting RRF’s programs that support Northern Nevada children and families facing extraordinary challenges.
The inaugural Biggest Little Shootout promises an exciting day of action and community spirit, featuring shooting stages with rifles, shotguns, and pistols. The event also includes a fast-paced steel-target side shoot and coveted awards such as custom firearms, commemorative belt buckles, and limited-edition challenge coins. Participants may register individually or as part of a team. Spectator entry is free, and the public is encouraged to attend and enjoy the day’s festivities.
In addition to the competition, guests will experience a lively atmosphere with food trucks, carnival games, raffles, vendor booths, and a mini cornhole tournament. While admission is free, guests can participate in activities by donating individually at each station or purchasing an “All-Access Spectator Pass.” All proceeds support local children and families through RRF’s year-round programs.
“Whether you’re a seasoned competitor, looking to support a great cause, or simply looking to have a fun day with your family, the Biggest Little Shootout offers an experience you won’t forget,” said Cheree Boteler, Reno Rodeo Foundation executive director. “Every registration, sponsorship, and donation—whether through an activity, raffle, or pass—directly helps children in our community facing unimaginable challenges. It’s more than a day of fun — it’s a chance to make a real difference.”

● Texas Hold ’Em Poker Tournament — Saturday, Oct. 4 at New West Distributing: A returning favorite, this high-energy charity poker night brings together amateur and experienced players for friendly competition, prizes and refreshments.
