LAS VEGAS – The Clark County Medical Society Alliance (CCMSA) is hosting its annual fundraising fashion show event on April 17th at Durango Casino & Resort, Las Vegas. This year’s fashion show benefits B.E. A S.H.E.R.O. Foundation and will be produced by Vasari Fashion House, a luxury fashion retailer with a flagship location at Tivoli Village.
Human trafficking is the world’s fastest growing crime, generating more than $150 billion in profits each year. It is also a crime that is gendered, with women and girls making up over 70% of overall trafficking victims. However, when it comes to sex trafficking, 97% of the victims are female. Las Vegas is one of the top ranked cities in the nation (per capita) for trafficking of minors. The median age of an exploited child is 12 years old. Social media & gaming platforms are the #1 recruitment tool. It only takes 30 minutes for a predator to turn a child into a victim. (Source: National Human Trafficking Hotline, US Census Bureau).
A decade of supporting victims of human trafficking has shown us the power of compassion, resilience, and dedicated intervention. However, the crisis persists, and our work is far from done. Over the past 23 plus years, CCMSA has raised more than $3 million for Las Vegas nonprofits supporting healthcare needs in Southern Nevada.

Foundation’s ((501(c)3 Tax ID 47-3876133)) mission is to provide resources needed to support, sustain and empower young girls and women under the age of 25 who have been abused, abandoned, and exploited.
