Las Vegas- As part of the “Community Grant For Defensive Training”, “The Problem Solver” is sponsoring free classes in concealed carry certification and handgun training to local Jewish communities.David Kolhmeier, a former Henderson police officer and retired NYPD officer also known as “The Problem Solver” from his popular podcast is sponsoring the training in an effort to impart confidence within the community. Kohlmeier recognized a need within the Jewish communities due to concerns over current events both abroad, in the U.S. and locally.
Instructor John Pierson, a USCCA firearms specialist with over 25 years of experience and owner of Eagle Guardian Solutions, will be conducting the classes according to the standards mandated by the Nevada Sheriffs and Chiefs Association.
Composed of a minimum of 8 hours of training in the laws pertaining to concealed carry of a handgun, where one can go carrying a concealed handgun and most importantly when one can be justified in using a handgun for defence, the training is substantial.
Three hours of range time provides the members with realistic training while wearing a concealed and holstered handgun.
Additional training is emphasized as a necessity by Pierson, who believes that basic handgun and the permit class is not enough. To date many members have returned for advanced handgun training.
John Pierson of Eagle Guardian Solutions boasts more than 50 members have successfully completed the CCW course since December, 2023.
Additional sponsors of the program include Eagle Guardian Solutions, the “United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA)”, and “Montana Extreme”. Along with Abogados Con Experiencia, they are donating textbooks, classroom space and professional level firearms cleaning supplies to the program.
