LAS VEGAS (May 1, 2025)–Linda Perez, CEO of The Shade Tree, a 24-hour accessible shelter designed to specifically meet the needs of those escaping domestic violence, human trafficking and homelessness, their children and pets (through a partnership with Noah’s Animal House), is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda J. Brookhyser to the nonprofit’s board of trustees.
Brookhyser, a Las Vegas native and accomplished litigator, is managing partner of Zumpano Patricios & Helston, the Las Vegas office of national trial practice, Zumpano Patricios. She brings more than 15 years of legal experience and a long-standing commitment to improving the southern Nevada community to her role as a board member.
“We are delighted to welcome Amanda Brookhyser to our board of trustees,” said Perez. “With her wealth of experience and passion to support our mission of restoring stability, dignity and self-reliance to the women and their children who come to us in their greatest time of need, we look forward to having Amanda’s counsel and leadership as we continue to serve the Las Vegas community.”
The Shade Tree, located at 1 West Owens Ave., has served southern Nevada for more than 35 years. The organization offers residential areas with sleeping rooms, a children’s activity center, meals, case management services, programming, housing assistance and more.
