Las Vegas- Due to a recent trend on TikTok thieves are posting videos of themselves stealing Kias or Hyundais. The rise in car theft throughout U.S. cities is disturbing.
The videos show thieves taking joy rides, breaking into cars, starting them with a USB cord or smashing windows to get inside. These TikTok videos have been viewed more than 2 million times.
Sam Ryan Heidari, owner of Heidari Law Group and Abogados Con Experiencia has stepped forward to help make a change by distributing 100 free steering wheel locks to the owners of a Kia or a Hyundai in Clark County.
Heidari hopes that the car owners in Las Vegas will take advantage of the opportunity to equip their car with a free steering wheel lock which will help to prevent not only car thefts but car accidents from reckless driving.
“From 2011-2022 Hyundai and Kia did not equip their cars with engine immobilizers, an anti-theft device. Therefore, 40 percent of stolen vehicles have been a Kia or a Hyundai in the U.S. By equipping all cars with a steering wheel locking device it will discourage thieves greatly” states Heidari.
Reckless, stolen cars have led to death and horrific car accidents in Las Vegas. Sam Ryan Heidari wants to take action by doing something to prevent senseless tragedies related to car accidents.
Steering wheel locking devices will be distributed free of charge from the Heidari Law Group office located at 611 S. 6th St in Las Vegas starting August 15th.
