LAS VEGAS – Project 150, a local nonprofit that provides homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high school students with basic necessities, will be the beneficiary of the “Titan Throwdown 2” Aug. 5 live event at The Hampton Inn Tropicana.
After the success of last year’s “Titan Throwdown,” fans of “Jeopardy!” can cheer for their favorite gameshow titans, including Matt Amodio, Sam Buttrey, James Holzhauer, Sam Kavanaugh, Mattea Roach, Brad Rutter, Amy Schneider and Jason Zuffranieri in a 5×5 trivia game battling for the title of the “Titan!”
Tickets are $100 and include live viewing of the event, a meet and greet and autograph session immediately following the game show. Doors open at 7:15 p.m., with the game show from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

“Titan Throwdown 2” is part of “Game Show Boot Camp 2,” a day of workshops and advanced training for anyone who wants to learn from the best how to get on their favorite show and win. The boot camp is sold out.

Project 150 is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization, founded in December 2011 by local businessmen Don Purdue and Patrick Spargur. The two heard about 150 homeless high school students at Rancho High School in Las Vegas who were in need of support over the Christmas break. Since that time, Project 150 has expanded and now serves more than 5,900 registered and non-registered homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high-school students in more than 75 high schools in Southern Nevada.
