Award-winning architectural firm to design state-of-the-art Olympic range and education center
RENO, Nev. – TSK Architects is proud to announce that it has been appointed by Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Spaces to design a 10-year master plan for the development of the Washoe County Regional Archery Facility. The facility, which will house a practice range, 3D field range, an Olympic competition range, and an education center, will be located on the southern edge of Antelope Valley in Washoe County, Nev. Once the project is complete, professional archers and enthusiasts alike will be welcomed to enjoy the new offerings.
“TSK is excited to have been chosen as the prime architect of record for this one-of-a-kind project,” said Kevin Kemner, associate principal at TSK’s Reno-Tahoe office. “Not only do we intend to preserve the quality of the 140-acre site’s natural environment and ecosystem through our design, we also plan to comply with ADA accessibility design guidelines to ensure this facility is accessible to all who seek to use it. We look forward to working with our project partners on bringing the client’s vision for a world-class, community-driven facility to fruition.”
The facility, which is a part of a ten-year master-planned project, will provide ADA compliant ranges with enhanced user experiences for hunters as well as professional field and competition archers. The encompassing natural landscape, preserved throughout the design and construction phases, will offer archers a realistic and memorable experience. Visitors can expect target archery, 3D archery, and field archery courses.
For beginner archers and tourists, the education center will host lessons and skill-based classes. Special events for the community to attend will also be held on the property.
