TSK, a highly acclaimed architecture, planning and interior design firm, is pleased to announce that they have been recognized as a winner of the Mayor’s Urban Design Awards (MUDAs). TSK won best in the category of Building and Environment for the completion of the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. The building, which is located at 625 Shadow Lane in the Las Vegas Medical District, will be a home for future doctors in Las Vegas and has been recognized for its sustainability features.

We are thrilled to have it be recognized for our sustainability design efforts and want to thank the city and our community for this award.”
The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine completed construction in 2022 and is the first building in a proposed 9-acre academic health center for UNLV within the Las Vegas Medical District. The facility was designed to accommodate a class of 120 students with future expansion plans to increase class size capabilities to 180 students. In addition to classrooms, the facility includes training spaces, administrative offices, a learning resources center, a café, student lounge, and open forum which will be used for school events and lectures.
The MUDAs were created in 2006 by Mayor Oscar B. Goodman to encourage and promote quality urban design principles and are open for nominations every fall. They recognize companies and individuals for their specific projects completed during the calendar year within Las Vegas that have contributed to the city’s sustainability and liability goals. The MUDAs consist of four nomination categories including Building and Environment, Public Places, Public Art and Historic Preservation and Adaptive Reuse. The winners include projects that have shared public spaces, are environmentally conscious and focus on the conservation of resources, promote safety, preserve historic buildings and places and are pedestrian friendly. Winners of each category are recognized by the mayor at a ceremony near the beginning of the year.
