LAS VEGAS (Jan. 14, 2025) – Local nonprofits have a chance to transform their impact: United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) has officially opened applications for its 2025 Community Impact Grants. Over the past three years, UWSN has helped more than 27,000 students access education assistance, over 8,000 individuals gain career training, and more than 500,000 people receive housing, food, and utility support during crises through programs like this.
This year, UWSN is looking to partner with local organizations to build on this momentum by funding programs that provide opportunities for students, build workforce readiness, and strengthen household stability. Selected organizations will receive financial and organizational support, along with community-wide recognition, to enhance their reach and impact.
Funding will be available to nonprofits that offer evidence-based programs in the following three focus areas:
- Student Success: programs that provide opportunities for children and students from pre-school through high school and higher education.
- Workforce Development: programs that help individuals enter or return to the workforce.
- Community Supports: programs that help people keep a roof over their head, food on the table, and ensure equitable access to healthcare, transportation, and crisis services.
2025 Community Impact Grant Application Information:
- Application Opening Date: Monday, January 13, 2025
- Application Deadline: Friday, February 14, 2025, at 5:00PM PST

Since its launch, UWSN’s Community Impact Grant program has supported dozens of local nonprofit organizations, fueling programs that provide real solutions to community challenges. This year, the program aims to further its legacy of driving positive change by supporting innovative and impactful nonprofit initiatives.
