United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN), is excited to once again host its annual Operation Back to School Drive, running July 6 through August 3. This drive supports families going into the new school year, collecting essential supplies for students in need across the valley.
“Students deserve to walk into their first day of school feeling prepared and confident, and access to school supplies shouldn’t be a barrier to that,” shared Samuel Rudd, President & CEO of UWSN. “Through Operation Back to School, we’re rallying our community to remove that barrier and give students across the valley the tools they need to succeed.”
UWSN is looking to collect an array of school supplies, including:
· Backpacks
· Crayons
· Markers
· Notebooks
· Pencils
· Folders
· Scissors
Donations can be dropped of at UWSN’s headquarters, located at 5830 W. Flamingo Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89103, Monday – Thursday from 8:30am – 5:00pm, or Fridays from 8:30am – 1:00pm.
For those who prefer to shop and ship supplies directly, UWSN has also set up an Amazon Wishlist here where donors can purchase items that will be delivered straight to UWSN.
