Vegas for Athletes is proud to announce its official establishment as a Nevada-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to raising awareness about heart health and the importance of early heart screenings for young athletes. Our mission is to bring awareness and educate the public the critical importance of heart screenings, ensuring that sudden cardiac arrest—the #1 medical cause of death among young athletes—becomes a preventable tragedy.
Building on the incredible momentum of the 2024 ‘Vegas Has a Heart’ initiative, which garnered widespread media attention and community support, Vegas for Athletes is now positioned to make an even greater impact. We organize and promote heart screening events and community outreach programs to ensure that athletes, parents, and coaches understand how critical heart health is to sports and overall well-being.
Troy Roques, a key figure in the success of ‘Vegas Has a Heart,’ now serves as the Executive Director of Vegas for Athletes. Under his leadership, the organization is expanding its reach, collaborating with medical professionals, and building a strong board of directors passionate about saving lives. We are honored to have the support of esteemed cardiologists, dedicated coaches, and influential advocates who share our vision.

Vegas for Athletes will continue working with key stakeholders, including professional sports organizations, healthcare institutions, and local businesses, to raise funds and increase access to life-saving screenings. With generous sponsorships and support from organizations such as United Healthcare, Meesha Moulton Law, LVAC, the Aviators, and Chase, we are taking tangible steps toward expanding these critical services.
