RENO, Nev. (Oct. 8, 2025) – Visit Reno Tahoe has announced the recipients of the 2025 Reno Tahoe Spotlight Awards, which recognize and celebrate exceptional employees for their contributions throughout the year.
This year’s top honor was awarded to Anita Sommers, Human Resources, for her dedication, outstanding performance and embodiment of Visit Reno Tahoe’s core values, including collaboration, integrity, transparency, ambition and commitment to people. Erin Halls, Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, and Nicole Duxbury, Marketing, were recognized as runners-up for their creativity, teamwork and impact across the organization.

The awards were presented during a special dinner celebration at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, where the team gathered to honor all nominees for their contributions throughout the year.
Additional nominees included Ernesto Ulloa, Beverly Borda, Courtney Mann, Maria Ammirati, John Morris, Ruth Maldonado, Tracy Liddiard, Whitney Mestre and Cate Buell—each recognized for their dedication and excellence.
The Reno Tahoe Spotlight Award program underscores the organization’s commitment to fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture by highlighting employees who go above and beyond.
