RENO, Nev. – Commissioner Clara Andriola has announced that she will step down after nearly a decade as Executive Director of the Reno Rodeo Foundation (RRF), effective March 31, 2024.
Since 2014, Andriola has played a pivotal role in steering the nonprofit organization’s far-reaching mission supporting children with extraordinary needs in 14 Northern Nevada counties. Andriola will continue to serve Washoe County as Commissioner for District 4, a role she assumed in April 2023 after her appointment by Governor Joe Lombardo.

Before taking the helm at the RRF, Andriola brought a wealth of experience to the role. A 35-year Reno resident, she was a small business owner of the largest technology training company in the region. She was later President & CEO of the Associated Builder and Contractors of Nevada Chapter. With many years in business under her belt, Andriola ventured into nonprofit work, becoming the Regional CEO of the American Red Cross Northern Nevada Chapter.
Andriola’s leadership of the RRF has been marked by a strong commitment to community service and an unwavering dedication to helping children facing unique challenges. Under her guidance, the RRF has upheld its longstanding tradition of giving back to the community through impactful programs. These programs include the Denim Drive, an annual fundraiser collecting life-changing donations for foster children and families; the Reading Rooms, a program providing safe reading spaces for children during legal proceedings; the Reno Rodeo Wish Experience, a program providing financial assistance to children experiencing extraordinary circumstances and granting a special wish to the recipient; and numerous scholarship opportunities, including the Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship.
The RRF expresses its deepest gratitude to Andriola for her outstanding service and leadership. The Foundation will initiate a comprehensive search for her successor, and applications to fill the position will open on Friday, Jan. 26 at RenoRodeoFoundation.org.
