Curacoa
A California-based retail store is opening its first Nevada location in the Meadows Mall in Las Vegas this fall. Curacoa is a department store targeted towards the Hispanic community that offers merchandise and electronics, as well as services such as travel arrangements and money transfers. The store plans to hire 150 employees, both full and part-time, that are proficient in both English and Spanish to serve the Southern Nevada region.
Fanatics, Inc.
A Fortune 500 company, Fanatics manufactures licensed sports gear, clothing and other merchandise. The company plans to open a distribution center in North Las Vegas. Under a deal approved by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, the company will receive tax incentives to move to Nevada, creating 189 jobs and producing $18.3 million in new tax revenue over the next 10 years. Construction is already underway with plans to open in June 2017.
