RENO, Nev. – It takes more than 1,000 dedicated volunteers each year to put on the “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West.” These volunteers help the Reno Rodeo produce the area’s longest-running, biggest annual professional sports event.
The Reno Rodeo is hosting two volunteer recruitment events for those interested in being a part of the Association. These events offer fantastic opportunities for individuals to connect with the Reno Rodeo community, learn about the various volunteer opportunities available and potentially walk away with exciting prizes.
The first event will take place on Saturday, April 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. at South 40. Families are encouraged to attend this family-friendly gathering where they can enjoy music while learning about the various volunteer opportunities available.
The second event is slated for Friday, April 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Pure Country Canteen. Potential Wranglers can enjoy an evening of music, dancing and learning about the rewarding experience of volunteering with the Reno Rodeo.
Rodeo members will be onsite at both events to provide information, assist with volunteer sign-ups, and host exciting raffles featuring ticket vouchers, this year’s coveted buckle and more.
“Volunteers are the beating heart of the Reno Rodeo, essential to its success,” said Carrie Ann Sattler, 2024 Reno Rodeo President. “Events like this provide a platform for us to engage with the community, to forge connections with individuals who may feel the call to become part of our lasting legacy.”

The Reno Rodeo is a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctioned sporting event, and one of the top five rodeos in North America.
