LAS VEGAS – Nevada’s Zero Fatalities Program will be offering discounted Lyft rides for attendees of the When We Were Young music festival on Oct. 18 and 19. As part of the program’s continued partnership with the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) and Lyft, Zero Fatalities is pledging $2,500 in free Lyft ride credits to encourage attendees to utilize rideshare services instead of driving impaired.
From 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18 through 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, the first 500 riders in Las Vegas will receive $10 off their ride by entering the code RIDESAFEOCT in the Lyft app or visiting the provided link, while supplies last.
With thousands in attendance, Zero Fatalities reminds the public to always practice safe driving behaviors, including staying sober and avoiding distractions. Alcohol, cannabis, and certain medications can impair driving, and choosing a safe alternative such as using a rideshare instead of getting behind the wheel can save lives.
