Las Vegas (October 3, 2025) – Adam Kutner Cares is proud to announce that Darnell Elementary School’s 5th Grade class, led by teacher Mrs. Christine Janette, has been selected as the 2025 Adam Kutner Cares Community Champion Classroom Award winner.
Mrs. Janette and her students were selected from over 500 nominations across the Clark County School District. She credited her fifth graders’ remarkable academic growth from the previous year and their class motto of collaboration – “Every day is a day for teamwork. There is no ‘I’ in team” – as key reasons for the recognition. Darnell Elementary was also recently honored as one of th

e most improved schools in the CCSD.
Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Janette’s dedication to her students and community is equally inspiring. A survivor of the One October tragedy, she created the Angel Wing Project at her previous school, Cadwallader Middle School, to honor the lives lost that day. The project continues every year. In addition, her Spread Kindness campaign, established in memory of the Vegas 58, has endured for seven years, leaving a lasting impact on her students and the Las Vegas community.
As part of this recognition, 36 students, Mrs. Janette, Principal, and Assistant Principal – each accompanied by a parent or guardian – will attend tonight’s Vegas Golden Knights matchup against the San Jose Sharks at T-Mobile Arena. In total, 90 tickets have been generously provided by Adam S. Kutner, Injury Attorneys.
To make the evening even more memorable:
- Roundtrip transportation from Darnell Elementary to T-Mobile Arena has been arranged for the group.
- Mrs. Janette will ride the Adam Kutner-sponsored Zamboni during the game, celebrating her incredible impact as an educator and community champion.
- The entire group will receive a special in-arena shoutout during the game, joined by the VGK’s mascot Chance and the Vegas Golden Knights cheer team.
- Thanks to digital agency LEVY Online, each winning student will also receive a $25 gift card to enjoy food and drinks inside the arena, ensuring they have the full Golden Knights game day experience.
“This award is truly a passion project for me,” said Adam S. Kutner, longtime Las Vegas resident, business owner of 34 years, and proud Day 1 sponsor of the Vegas Golden Knights. “I am proud to call Las Vegas home and I wanted to create a program that shines a light on the incredible teachers and classrooms in our community. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing these students and educators celebrated while enjoying my favorite sport and team – our Vegas Golden Knights.”
