Shawn Olsen named clinical education manager for Care Flight; Suzi Anderson named support services manager for REMSA Health
July 8, 2026 (RENO, Nev.) — REMSA Health and Care Flight announced the promotions of two members of their operational leadership teams. Shawn Olsen has been named clinical education manager for Care Flight, and Suzi Anderson has been named support services manager for REMSA Health.
Olsen brings extensive experience in critical care nursing and flight medicine to the position. In his new role, he will oversee clinical education and training programs, including new-hire onboarding, continuing education, clinical competency development and quality improvement initiatives to support high standards of patient care and crew readiness.
“Shawn’s background in critical care transport with Care Flight combined with his dedication to clinical excellence and education, makes him an outstanding fit for this leadership role,” said Joe Drago, executive director of Care Flight. “Shawn’s experience will ensure our teams continue to deliver the highest level of care to the patients and communities we serve.”
Prior to this role, Olsen served as a flight nurse and new-hire preceptor with Care Flight, where he provided critical care transport and supported the training and development of new clinical team members. Before joining Care Flight, he worked as a flight nurse with AirLink Critical Care Transport and as a registered nurse across multiple high-acuity settings, including trauma and intensive care units at Stanford Medical Center and St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon.
Olsen holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Linfield College and an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Portland Community College. He is a registered nurse in multiple states and holds advanced certifications including Certified Flight Registered Nurse and Critical Care Registered Nurse, along with several advanced life support and trauma care certifications.
REMSA Health also promoted Anderson, who brings more than 15 years of experience in operations and logistics to her new role as support services manager. She will oversee support services functions including procurement operations, inventory management, fleet and logistics coordination, facility projects, vendor management and regulatory compliance.
“Suzi’s strong operational background, attention to detail and commitment to accountability make her an excellent fit for this position,” said Josh Duffy, director of support services at REMSA Health. “Her skillset will help strengthen our operational efficiency and ensure continued support for our clinical teams and the communities we serve.”
Anderson joined REMSA Health in 2023 as an administrative and procurement analyst, where she led purchasing operations, vendor coordination and inventory oversight while managing controlled substance compliance. In that role, she served as power of attorney for Drug Enforcement Agency licensing and oversaw the ordering and auditing of narcotics and regulatory reporting to ensure adherence to federal and state standards. She also supported fleet readiness and served as a project manager for facility-related initiatives.
Prior to joining REMSA Health, Anderson held leadership roles with FedEx Express and the Jenn Billat Mortgage Team, where she gained experience in team supervision, logistics coordination, compliance enforcement and process improvement in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
