The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Las Vegas Chapter proudly announces its 2nd Annual National Philanthropy Day (NPD) Summit, taking place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas.
This all-day event brings together fundraisers, nonprofit professionals and board members, donors, and community leaders to celebrate philanthropy, sharpen fundraising skills, and connect with those shaping the future of giving in Southern Nevada.
“National Philanthropy Day celebrates generosity and the people who make our community thrive,” said Karen Alonso, AFP Las Vegas President. “This year’s Summit is designed to help fundraisers build confidence in the ask, strengthen relationships with funders, and spark collaboration across the public and private sectors.”
Summit Agenda Highlights
Morning Education Sessions:
- 8:00–9:30 a.m. — How to Ask: Make Fundraising Magic Happen with Bobby Ehlert, CEO, Call to Auction
· 9:30–11:00 a.m. — Strategic Giving for Lasting Change presented by Alexander Newby, Financial Advisor at Thrivent, and Irma McDow, Philanthropy Officer at Three Square.

Awards Luncheon:

- 12:00–1:30 p.m. — National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon featuring keynote speaker Stacey Wedding, CEO of The Stacey Wedding Group, presenting Rediscovering Your Why.
Afternoon Panels:
- 2:00–3:15 p.m. — Meet the Funders
Featuring Erin McGarry (Engelstad Foundation), DeAndre Esteen (Barclays Bank), Monica Moradkhan (Wynn Foundation), and Chad Leavitt (Findlay Automotive Group).
This marks the first time Erin McGarry will publicly share findings from the Engelstad Foundation’s recent study and its implications for Southern Nevada nonprofits. - 3:30–4:45 p.m. — Stronger Together: Public & Private Partnerships Powering Community Change
