Volunteers from the Commercial Alliance Las Vegas (CALV) and Las Vegas REALTORS® (LVR) are leading a drive to help the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY) with community service events scheduled for April 12 and 25.
Along with CALV and LVR, organizations supporting this cause include the Nevada Appraisal Institute; BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association); Southern Nevada CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member); CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women); IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management); NAIOP Southern Nevada; and the Nevada State Apartment Association (NVSAA).
CALV and LVR are donating, gathering, packaging and delivering items needed by young people served by NPHY. This is the latest example of CALV’s ongoing support for the local nonprofit dedicated to helping homeless youth in Southern Nevada. Last year, CALV and its partners donated $2,500 to NPHY, delivered donated items, and renovated NPHY residences and its local drop-in center.
When: Saturday, April 12, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., CALV-led volunteers will be assembling hygiene kits at the NPHY drop-in center at 4981 Shirley St. in Las Vegas.
Friday, April 25, CALV-led volunteers will be working from 1 to 4 p.m. to hand out hygiene kits and other donated items to an expected crowd of about 500 young people facing homelessness during an NPHY event at the Hollywood Recreation Center at 1650 S. Hollywood Blvd. on the east side of Las Vegas.

About Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth
NPHY is the most comprehensive service provider for youth experiencing homelessness in Southern Nevada. Since 2001, NPHY’s best-practice programs have helped thousands of homeless youth graduate from high school, enroll in college, embark on careers, find their passions, build supportive social networks, transition to safe and stable housing, and realize brighter futures. Strengthening and complementing its high-quality direct services, NPHY is dedicated to advocating with and for Nevada’s most vulnerable youth and serves as a leader in efforts to eliminate homelessness throughout the state. In 2017, NPHY co-founded The Movement to End Youth Homelessness, which hosts the annual Nevada Youth Homelessness Summit and drives NPHY’s legislative work, community coordination, system-level efforts and our mission to end youth homelessness for each youth we encounter and our community as a whole.
