LAS VEGAS – Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC) Nevada has announced the addition of Rudy Zamora as director of advocacy. For much of this year, Zamora will help lead the nonpartisan Latino Loud campaign, CPLC’s flagship effort aimed at registering, mobilizing, educating, and encouraging greater Latino participation in the 2024 election and beyond.
“We welcome Rudy to the team. The amplification of Latino voices remains a critical focus for the upcoming election, which includes the presidential race, U.S. Senate, and important ballot measures,” said Joseph Garcia, vice president of public policy at Chicanos Por La Causa. “With his track record of success, and his many longtime connections with Nevada leaders, Rudy will play a key role in improving Latino participation at the polls, and thereby Latino representation via political empowerment.”
Zamora has spent over 15 years advocating for various causes and initiatives that aim to empower and amplify the voices of the Latino community. Before joining CPLC, Zamora served as director of public affairs at Teach For America, where he strategically planned and executed initiatives to expand educational equity in Nevada. Rudy also played a pivotal role in leading a Latino-led climate movement at Chispa Nevada, part of the League of Conservation Voters, showcasing expertise in program management, strategic partnerships, and grassroots community organizing.
Nevada and Arizona will be the two focal battleground states in the nonpartisan Latino Loud campaign. Latino Loud is part of Chicanos Por La Causa Action Fund, with Garcia as its executive director and Zamora also a key member of the 501(C)(4) nonprofit advocacy organization, which is operated independently from CPLC.
Since 2010, CPLC Nevada has been dedicated to empowering communities across the state.
