LAS VEGAS (Sept. 9, 2024) — The WomenUp Leadership Development Program, chaired by Vegas visionary and former Mayor of Las Vegas Jan Jones Blackhurst, is set to begin sessions this month. This groundbreaking six-month program is designed to transform leadership skills and equip women with the tools and resources needed to excel in senior-level roles across all industries. The program kicks off on Wednesday, Sept. 11, with a well-rounded session around personal growth and development. The first session will cover topics such as trends in c-suite level competencies, key takeaways about the importance of female leadership in organizations and a deeper understanding of individual strengths and opportunities for growth to prepare attendees for one-on-one executive coaching and mentoring sessions.
Addressing the persistent gender gap in executive and C-Suite positions, WomenUp combines real-world leadership theories with practical skills, one-on-one executive coaching, and mentorship from top female leaders at influential brands. Overall, the goal of the program is to provide valuable, real-time feedback to elevate leadership standings within one’s role. Women currently hold only 31% of senior leadership roles, are 54% less likely to have an advocate at work, are 20% less likely to receive actionable feedback, and are eight times more likely to receive feedback on their personality than men.
Sessions begin on Sept. 11, 2024, and run through Feb. 12, 2025, with one session per month, including two in-person and four virtual. Key speakers include Seema Kathuria, Managing Director at Russell Reynolds, a leading executive search and leadership advisory firm; Lili Tomovich, Chief Marketing Officer at a global financial services provider; and Ana Mendy, VP, Market, Policy, and Innovation Insight in the digital payment industry.
This is an opportunity to drive change and shape the future of leadership. For more details and sign-ups for the next cohort, visit www.womenupleadership.com and LinkedIn.

About WomenUp Leadership Development Program
As a response, the WomenUp program is specifically designed to address the common barriers and challenges that women are experiencing in the corporate workplace on their path to executive-level roles. WomenUp offers a comprehensive, six-month learning experience, utilizing two full-day in-person learning experiences and four virtual full-day sessions. The program begins with a complete 360 feedback assessment of participants from their leader, peers, and direct reports, which allows us to tailor specific individual skill set learnings and build confidence and self-awareness to propel their careers forward. Additionally, each participant will be paired with an experienced Executive Coach throughout the program, who will guide participants through their 360 feedback, while providing focus on areas for improvement, growth, skill enhancement, and overall effectiveness. Most importantly, WomenUp will offer opportunities for participants to meet and engage with mentors and sponsors, who have achieved success in Fortune 500 Corporate environments. These women will share their stories and the lessons learned during their journey to the C-Suite, providing valuable guidance to the cohort group.
