The Ability Center of Southern Nevada is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Pizza For A Purpose at Brooklyn’s Best Pizza & Pasta on March 28th, supporting the only Adaptive Fitness Center in Las Vegas.
Celebrating Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, this important event will raise money to empower people with disabilities and meet the growing needs of the special needs community in Nevada. With a goal to open the organization’s second location so that all people with disabilities in Las Vegas have easy access to fitness programs, The Ability Center invites individuals and organizations to join them, spread awareness, contribute to this impactful cause, and come on down and make some pizza with us.
As Southern Nevada’s only gym dedicated exclusively to individuals with special needs, The Ability Center provides state-of-the-art amenities, adaptive fitness classes, and unique programs like the only Cheerleading Program in Nevada tailored specifically for people with special needs.
“This event is not just about raising funds—it’s about celebrating ability, inclusion, and the power of community,” said Chris Salas, Founder of The Ability Center. “Each year, Pizza For A Purpose helps bring us closer to a future where every person with special needs has
access to fitness, friendship, and opportunity. We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from our partners, donors, and the entire Las Vegas community.”
Donors to this crucial initiative will be acknowledged in March during Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, a time to celebrate the inclusion of people with disabilities and foster stronger, more diverse communities. The event also offers The Ability Center members an opportunity to actively participate in pizza-making, gain workforce experience, build confidence, have fun, and receive recognition.
The 3rd Annual Pizza For A Purpose would not be possible without the incredible support of our dedicated sponsors and community partners. Leading the way for the second straight year, Farhan Naqvi returns as the Presenting Sponsor, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to making a difference. The Las Vegas Raiders continue their legacy of generosity with a $25,000 donation, marking their third year of support for The Ability Center. Aristocrat Gaming generously donated $20,000 donation, reinforcing its ongoing dedication to the success of the programs and events. Additionally, Lexicon Bank joins this meaningful cause as a committed supporter of community-driven initiatives, further strengthening the movement for inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment for individuals with disabilities. These partnerships exemplify the power of community, collaboration, and shared purpose in creating a lasting impact.
