MySafe, which has revolutionized the safe deposit box industry, recently launched its U.S. expansion in Nevada, opening three locations in Southern Nevada.
MySafe also has locations in Ireland, United Arab Emirates (including Dubai), Kenya and India. Nevada was seen as the perfect place to establish the company’s footing in the U.S., according to MySafe Group CEO Terry Downes.
“We’re looking to open 27 locations in America and then many more. The business-friendly environment here in Nevada was attractive for launching the company in the states,” Downes said. “The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce was very supportive and we also saw a lot of business, visitor and personal profiles that were similar to Dubai, where we’ve been very successful.”
MySafe has brought the safe deposit box experience into the 21st century. For over a decade, banks have been getting out of the safe deposit business, so Downes saw a market he could serve. Tapping his professional background in security, in 2017 he launched MySafe, a fully automated, secure and insured product offering.
With MySafe, customers enter a private room where they provide a passcode, access card authentication and insert their finger into a biometric reader. An advanced safe robotics system then delivers the box to the customer inside the fully secure, monitored, private space within 10 seconds.
MySafe is currently offering a complimentary $100,000 free insurance coverage, with the option to purchase up to $1 million in coverage.
“There are no appointments, no searching through a vault full of boxes. You have 24-7 access and the space is completely private and secure,” Downes emphasized.
The MySafe concept only requires a 700-1,000 square foot space. MySafe can then build out its proprietary secure infrastructure system, which includes no more than 300 boxes at each location, in roughly two weeks.
MySafe locations in Las Vegas include:
- 4035 S. Durango Drive(Durango Drive and Russell Road)
- 7380 S. Rainbow Boulevard(Flamingo Road and Rainbow Boulevard)
- 55 Valle Verde Drive (Henderson: Valle Verde Drive and Clark County 215)
