The LVPT Health and Wellness Center provides a safe and healthy environment to promote a proactive healthy lifestyle for the Special Diabetes Program for Indians participants and community members.
Along with the dynamic gym, the center includes a 3,500 sqft outdoor courtyard for an array of activities, and a teaching kitchen to promote healthier cooking options with classes and expert support. The Health and Wellness center program includes guided exercise provided by a licensed fitness training specialists in yoga, meditation, HIIT exercises, Fit Challenges, Zumba classes and a variety of additional fitness activities.
The LVPT staff include trained specialists focused on diabetes prevention and diabetic management. This team includes a diabetes coordinator, a registered dietitian nutritionist, a diabetes program assistant, a gym attendant and an activities coordinator.
