Green Valley Presbyterian Church (GVPC) recently announced the donation of more than $24,000 for the Henderson Presbyterian Food Bank. The funds were raised by the congregation, friends, and those attending Handel’s Messiah Concert held last month.
“We were deeply touched by the community support surrounding this fundraiser and want to thank everyone who joined us in this endeavor,” said Pastor Dr. Adrian Doll. “This was truly a charity we all can support, especially during the holiday season.”
Handel’s Messiah concerts are beloved annual traditions featuring the renowned oratorio about Jesus’ life, with performances typically held around Christmas by orchestras, choirs, and soloists, showcasing famous parts like the “Hallelujah” chorus. This concert is an annual tradition for Green Valley Presbyterian Church.
