Outpatient services are available for mental health and addiction struggles and crisis support.
(LAS VEGAS) Ignite Teen Treatment, an adolescent residential facility, is now offering outpatient services. The program treats mental health and addiction for teenagers. Emotions, anxiety, confusion, and fear are now escalating with the pandemic affecting teens.

Programs being developed for teens will include individual, group and family therapy. “The family component to achieving good mental health for everyone is extremely important,” says Chris Gordon, community liaison and director of business development for the intensive outpatient program for Ignite Teen Treatment.
Full day programming, as well as afternoon and evening tracks, is offered and a licensed therapist facilitates all tracks. Full outpatient day treatment for teens includes educational support and a full day of therapeutic programming. The evening program provides homework support and will offer transportation from certain areas/schools upon request. Gender specific programming is also available. Psychiatric support, experiential (music with a full studio, art, psychodrama, life-skills, yoga) all these modalities are incorporated to aid in a positive outcome.
According to Chris, from his personal experience working in treatment programs, teenagers and young adults make up 50 to 60 percent of those needing help. From that group, 70 percent of those numbers are male.
When Chris met Mendi Baron, LCSW, CEO, he discovered Mendi’s passion and advocacy for adolescents needing mental health treatment. Mendi’s extensive experience as a therapist and a desire to help the community inspired him to launch three treatment centers, including Ignite Teen Treatment.
“When I met Mendi and he explained to me what he was doing at his treatment center for teens, I was intrigued. I wanted to work with him to help teens now so they would not have to suffer into adulthood before receiving help,” Chris explains.
Outpatient programs can help keep teens at home plus offer an alternative to those who do not require in-patient treatment. With COVID-19, the development of outpatient programs fit the current climate as well as into the future to help teens cope with an uncertain world.
“During these difficult times, people should be able to access care, especially for teens in a vulnerable time of their lives,” says Mendi.
