The Senior and Veterans Alliance Foundation (SAVA) proudly announces its establishment as a charitable and educational 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving seniors, veterans, and the disabled across southern Nevada communities. Founded with a steadfast commitment to improving the lives of those in need, SAVA provides essential home repairs, upgrades, and modifications at little to no cost, ensuring safe and comfortable living environments for those in need of a helping hand.
SAVA’s mission is clear: to extend assistance to seniors, veterans, and the disabled by offering crucial home repairs and necessary upgrades on a fee-sliding scale basis. The organization believes that everyone deserves a safe and comfortable home and addresses structural concerns, ensures compliance with state and local codes, and implements ADA accessibility modifications to promote residential safety and comfort. With a focus on revitalizing residential dwellings and maintaining property value, SAVA fosters a sense of pride and dignity among its clients. By providing much-needed repairs and upgrades, the organization empowers individuals to maintain their homes and pass on generational wealth, thereby building stronger, more resilient communities.
“I’ve called Las Vegas home for over 50 years, and during my three decades-long career as a plumber & pipefitter, notably with Local 525, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of community support,” said Bruce Kendrick, president and founder of Senior and Veterans Alliance Foundation. “Now in retirement, I’m eager to continue serving our area’s most vulnerable residents by utilizing my trade skills and connections. Through Senior and Veterans Alliance Foundation, my goal is to ensure that every senior, veteran, and disabled individual has access to safe and comfortable housing. It’s about giving back to the community that has given me so much and ensuring dignity and security for those who need additional support.”
The Senior and Veterans Alliance Foundation invites individuals from all walks of life to join in making a difference. Whether they are skilled tradespeople or passionate about fundraising, there are countless opportunities to lend support. Volunteer roles include man-power volunteers with construction experience, fundraising volunteers for special events, and community ambassadors to support outreach efforts.
