RENO – Nevada’s Zero Fatalities Program will be offering discounted Lyft rides to attendees of Reno’s Walk the Plank Wine Walk on Saturday, Sept. 20. Through the program’s continued partnership with the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) and Lyft, Zero Fatalities is pledging $1,500 in free Lyft ride credits to encourage attendees to utilize rideshare services instead of getting behind the wheel impaired.
Starting from Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. through Sept. 21 at 6 a.m., the first 300 riders in Reno will receive $5 off their ride by entering the code SAFERIDERENO in the Lyft app or visiting the provided link, while supplies last.
Zero Fatalities is reminding Nevadans always to practice safe driving behaviors and to drive sober. While the Wine Walk is a great way to explore the city and its community, it is never okay to get behind the wheel after consuming alcohol. Nevada’s roadways are a shared responsibility and utilizing rideshare services rather than driving can play a significant role in not only your safety, but the safety of all other road users.
