The community came out for the recent grand opening and ribbon cutting of Novum Women’s Center in Las Vegas, a much-needed, one-stop health center focused on a vast array of health-related services, including mental health, ob/gyn and primary care, for women and youth in southern Nevada. Speakers at the event included Natalie Williams, general manager of Las Vegas ACES; Las Vegas City Councilwoman Francis Allen-Palenske; Novum Women’s Center Director Judy Santmyers; local dignitaries; and executives with the nonprofit group, Puentes who received a $2,000 donation from Novum Women’s Center.
Novum Women’s Center is opening at a time when a major need exists for immediate health services. Specifically designed to meet the needs of women and children seeking care, Novum Women’s Center provides convenient access to ob/gyn, primary care and mental health services while eliminating barriers to accessing this care. All services delivered in one location ensures convenience while providing an opportunity for integration between service providers. On-site free childcare ensures that women can get the care needed without concern about the oversight of their children. Additionally, Novum recognizes social risk factors and offers free women and children’s clothes, shoes and other items from their women and children’s closet for anyone in need.
