Local real estate pro Brenton Mann recently launched a podcast, Vegas Veteran Voices to share inspiring stories with others in the Las Vegas Valley.
Episodes currently air weekly with Mann interviewing locals who have served in the armed forces as well as nonprofits and agencies supporting veterans. The podcast is more than a conversation, Mann asserts, but “a masterclass in finding purpose after the military.” Each episode reveals the raw real, and sometimes unexpected ways, veterans turn struggle into strength and make an impact. Veterans are represented in many fields, business, advocacy, the arts and more.
“I didn’t see anything out there like this and I wanted to do my part to help other veterans by sharing these unique stories, whether they’re about mental health, small business success or something else,” Mann said. “Vets want to hear from others in the area they live in, and they want to hear from those who are going through the same things they are.”
In his first episode, Mann interviewed Anthony Rivera, who hit rock bottom after serving in the Army and Navy but is now launching his Pizza Neo concept. In another episode, Mann also spotlighted Harvison House, which provides home furnishings and medical equipment to veterans in need. New episodes currently air every Friday.
Mann is a Navy veteran and realtor with Wardley Real Estate. He regularly offers free workshops on the homebuying process for vets at U.S. Vets Las Vegas, which provides transitional and permanent housing as well as employment services for local vets. Mann’s educational seminars touch on subjects such as maximizing VA benefits for a home purchase, VA loan requirements, and even home ownership tax advantages for vets.
“If you don’t have someone who knows the ins and outs of VA benefits and the loan program, there’s a lot of pain you go through,” Mann added. “I’ve been through this and know the expertise, time and dedication it takes to get things done.”
