Local Attorney and longtime Henderson resident, Steve Rice, announced today that he has raised $500,000 since announcing his candidacy in early 2021 and enters 2022 with $425,000 cash-on-hand. “I have worked in the trenches for years and developed crucial relationships that go back decades,” Rice stated.
“Running for City Council is my way of giving back to the community that has given me so much. Building the financial resources and earning endorsements are crucial to crossing the finish line first – and I thank all my wonderful supporters.” Early on in his campaign, Rice earned the public support of Mayor Debra March and outgoing Ward 3 Councilman John Marz, along with Councilman Dan Shaw and Dan Stewart.
Candidate filing for the 2022 Election begins March 7 and the Primary Election will be held on June 14, 2022. If no candidate receives 50% of the votes, the top two finishers will advance to the General Election on November 8.
