Western Turf and Hardscapes Opens at New Location
~Expanded State-of-the-Art Depot and Showroom~
(February 27, 2024 – Reno, Nev.) – On Friday, March 1, Western Turf and Hardscapes will celebrate the opening of their new location with a Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting and celebration with representatives from the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development, City of Reno and Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada. The 46-year old family-owned and operated turf and hardscape company has expanded its operations to a new location at 3785 Barron Way in Reno boasting 175,000 square feet of inventory space and a state-of-the-art depot and showroom that will serve as an interactive space for clients to engage with products firsthand.

We are excited to welcome everyone to the new location where they can imagine and create the outdoor spaces of their dreams.”
Since 1978, Western Turf has been the premier source for outdoor materials across northern Nevada and the eastern Sierra. Locally owned and operated by three generations of family, in 1983 the Fahnestock’s moved their turf-growing operations from Winnemucca to Dayton before finally settling in Palomino Valley in 1986, where the Western Turf and Hardscapes farm still thrives today. Since then, the business has grown into a leader of industry and community, selling approximately 125 acres of sod annually.
Western Turf and Hardscapes carries the largest variety of hardscape products such as pavers, retaining wall, outdoor firepits, in northern Nevada. The Rock Yard includes a variety of sand, soils, aggregate, decorative rock, and bark. Western Turf has recently added composite decking, railing, landscape lighting, and synthetic turf to complete the hardscape offering.
The depot’s modern facilities are geared towards optimizing logistical processes ensuring orders are ready for next-day delivery. This ensures that we can manage inventory effectively, streamline operations, and meet client needs with greater ability.
This showroom’s interactive environment is designed to enhance the overall client experience and provide a platform for showcasing innovation.
